SeceuroShield Shutters
Manufactured by SWS UK, the newly launched lintel security shutter has been installed on a kiosk in a popular park in Worcester by SWS and their distributor Albro Door Systems.
Worcester City Council contacted SWS UK as they were looking for a discreet security solution for a kiosk which was in the process of being constructed, within the formal area of Gheluvelt park. Constructed from mainly timber, the council planners did not want a shutter which detracted from the external aesthetics of the building, however it was important that the shutter provided excellent security so that the kiosk was secure during non-opening times.
Despite being contacted late in the construction stage SWS UK were confident that their lintel shutter could still be accommodated within the build. SeceuroLintel is an aluminium security shutter which is concealed within the structural lintel of a building and is installed during the build stage. The guide rails and shutter box is hidden within the wall structure, therefore making it completely invisible when open and very discreet when in the closed position.
Using the very popular SeceuroShield 38 slat profile, the client opted to have the shutter in RAL 7016S. The modern grey colour made an excellent contrast to the timber structure and provides practical benefits for such a popular area. Following a detailed and accurate surveying process, installation took just over an hour and was completed without the need for specialist tools or equipment.
The client was thrilled with the finished result and was extremely grateful to SWS UK who orchestrated the install ahead of schedule. Worcester City Council can now be confident that the contents of the park’s kiosk will be remain secure, even when the park is closed.
